Why Are you requesting commit access ?

I help maintain the LLVM package for Homebrew, a package manager for macOS and Linux. I'd like to be more involved with LLVM maintenance, and have had the following pull requests merged:

#114646
#110962

I'd also like to be able to join teams in the @llvm GitHub organisation that are notified of important changes (e.g. breaking ones). (In theory this shouldn't require commit access, but in practice requesting commit access seems to be required in order to join the @llvm organisation. Please correct me if I'm mistaken!)

@carlocab You can also join the organization with the triage role, which let's you join teams without having commit access, but there is no extra requirements for getting commit access so most people just ask for that.

A triage role would help. I'd still like to request commit access, if that's ok, to make landing patches easier.
