Including Other Formats in "book" output

I have:

• searched the issue tracker for similar issues
• installed the latest version of Quarto CLI
• formatted my issue following the Bug Reports guide

Bug description

As described here

HTML pages (either standalone or in a website) can automatically include links to other formats specified in the document front matter.

However, while this works with the project type website, it does not seem to work with the project type book`. Is there a reason for this (other than potentially having broken cross references in the standalone pdf pages?).

@ratnanil Please use discussions for questions. Issues are for actual bug reports.

Books uses the "download" sidebar tools for other formats.
Note also that pages are not independents of each other contrary to website as documented.

FInally, we do ask to search through discussions and issues before opening new threads.

Hey @mcanouil, sorry for this!

As I see it, "download" sidebar tools is different to Multi Format:

• Download sidebar tools: Used to provide a download link to the rendered output of an entire project
• Multi Format: Used to render a single page into a different output.

I would like to achieve the latter (which is already available for websites) in a book output. Is that somehow achievable?
