In dark mode, the caret is black and blends in with editor's grey background.

According to this issue, mobile safari doesn't allow them to hide native cursor. So they design to hide their custom cursor only mobile safari.
I used below css property to change the color of native cursor on mobile safari at .cm-editor class which is located in codemirror.css but it didn't work.

.cm-editor {
	/* ... */
	caret-color: var(--sk-fg-3);
	/* ... */
}

code mirror doesn't use native cursor
I don't have a code mirror installed but changing CSS in the editor on theyr website worked

Well there are labels for svelte.dev and playground so I don't think I'm too far out of left field here. Sorta like #658
