Populate New Issue with template

We'd need to first do a lookup for any file called ISSUE_TEMPLATE.md in either root or .github OR /docs then apply that markdown to the body of the new issue.

So I started doing this and then realised I approached it completely wrong 😅 Turns out GitHub don't care about file extensions or the case it's written in so using GET /repos/:owner/:repo/contents/:path searching for the file name wouldn't work

Instead need to load both directories (root and .github) and do some sort of regex to find the files

Gonna hold off a little until more files stuff has been done (being worked on at the moment) but writing this to remind myself/who ever picks it up

@BasThomas Would definitely make it easier, but we don't necessarily need it!

Would just need to look at the directory in the repo, and then do some basic parsing of the MD to extract the information - wouldn't have thought it'd be too bad!

GitHub offers a simple way to add an issue template but it is restricted to people with write access to the repo.
It would be awesome if someone with write access could implement this. After implementing this and #2126, we would be a step away from complying with community standards.

I think this is was about implementing it in the app, not necessarily the repository itself. That said, we could also benefit from this. Will work with a pull request as well, so free to open one @rodrigobdz!

I would love to but unfortunately I don't have enough access right to create the templates as suggested in the guide.

You should be able to, GitHub just offers some UI/help to create them for project owners. Starting with a issue_template.md should be fine if you’re up for it 👍

And otherwise we can sort it out after!
