Unable to create pipe

This tool is exactly what i need however cannot get it to work. This is with a genuine UNO R3 SMD and tested on both Win10 and Win7. The UNO is detected as "Arduino Uno (COM5)" in Windows and your Application enumerates the com ports correctly. When creating the pipe this error is produced

"The given port name does not start with COM/com or does not resolve to a valid serial port.

If i just enter COM5 the app exits with no errors. In powershell if i run "get-childitem \.\pipe" i don't see the pipe connected. If i need a UNO R3 non SMD version let me know as happy to buy one.

@HackingThings I'm also trying to see can data on Wireshark. For now, I'm sending dummy data from Arduino by serial print but after adding a pipe name in 'Manage Interface' when I open the pipe it gives the following error.

This is a tricky issue, Since opening the pipe relies on "SELECT * FROM Win32_PnPEntity WHERE Caption like '%(COM%'");" style of query, it might not always find the right device you are currently using. since the code is now old, that query might need to be tweaked to help find the device.

So it's either that, or windows has changed something that blocks the creation of the pipe.

Can you try to run it in debug and check the com devices are listed properly?

Can you please update the compiled executeable to be compatible with current windows 10 versions? I also get this com port error.
And wireshark legacy doesnt find the interface pipe.

The error message got fixed but still no interface showing in wireshark, only my local, wifi and bluetooth. Im not sure if Im supposed to do anything else or if the software has error
