This issue tracks the work needed to update the documentation to reflect the changes in messaging around how to support the project already done in Powertools.

Why is this needed?

Customer feedback (example) has highlighted that the messaging around how to support the library was not clear and that too much emphasis was being put on Layers as a mean to gather metrics.
