"pub get" in chapter directories is not working on Windows

There is a common pubspec.yaml in dir below chapter dirs, it contains legit yaml.

Even after editing each chapter project pubspec.yaml with "common" pubspec legit yaml content and doing pub get, chapter 03..06 demos have missing package references.

Anyone who can tell me what I'm doing wrong appreciated.

The "Windows 7" bit is the important part here. I suspect that symlinks do not work as intended on Windows. We can fix this issue though.

In the mean time, as a work-around, you should be able to copy the pubspec.yaml in the base directory into each of the chapter directories. It sounds like you have done that.

The next issue is the missing package references. Do you have an error log showing which packages are missing?

saw update to this - saw that chapter pubspec.yaml was updated. Still get missing package references.

Any news for this issue? I'm having the same problem.

I believe they updated the library to fix this. So with latest dart / latest angular / windows .. it worked for me. was a while ago - cant remember all the details.

I have the same problem on OSX

I haven't seen the problem on OS X, although anything can happen when the network is being bad.

It seems like Windows 7 is fixed, so I'll close. (Reopen or open a new bug if you continue to have problems, please.)

@thinkadoo what happens if you try pub get again?

I occasionally see pub get failures, but it usually works when I try again. I should at least tell people what the symptoms are of a pub get failure, so they can know to try again.

Seems like the issue was with a former version of the code
