x/tools/gopls: Out of control memory and CPU usage

What did you do?

Opened a brand new go file in neovim with the vim-go plugin.

What did you expect to see?

Reasonable resource consumption

What did you see instead?

Multiple CPUs spinning constantly, while gopls continues to allocate massive amounts of RAM (8+ GB). Even after exiting neovim, gopls continues to allocate memory.
