Docs should state how to access the google and maps object.

Its just that since this is the descendant of an already existing library, and the last library did things differently. The promise it returned when loading the API was the google object. Instead, it should be documented that now the google object is attached to the window.

Would it be preferable to resolve to google or google.maps? I'm leaning towards google.

It seems the documentation for google (https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/overview) always uses google and that in my opinion should be the default return value.

Hi all, love the improvement, the only thing I was missing that I have to use window.google instead of google
In this example I pass down the this.google to a child component. I use Vue TS
Example this.loader.load().then(() => (this.google = window.google));
instead of this.loader.load().then(() => (this.google = google));
I know I am just a mediocre JS developer, but it took me a lot of time before I found out to use the window.
Does somebody have tips for me how to recognise these things earlier or can we add this in the docs for future reference?
