# .NET Driver Version 2.28.0 Release Notes

This is the general availability release for the 2.28.0 version of the driver.

We included the 3.6 deprecation notice in the 2.25 release notes, but we should probably re-iterate it here. We should probably have included it in 2.26 and 2.27 as well, but those ships have sailed.

NOTICE: MongoDB 3.6 reached end-of-life in April 2021. The .NET/C# Driver will be removing support for MongoDB 3.6 in an upcoming release.

The main new features in 2.28.0 include:
