Hi there,

Next.js, unlike Remix, Astro, or the other modern frontends, doesn't have a way to self-host across different platforms. You can run it as a Node.js application, but this doesn't work the same way as it does on Vercel.

Could you elaborate on what limitations you're referring to?
I’m running 20+ self-hosted sites, and some of them even support ISR. I’m genuinely trying to understand here, because I’m a bit confused.
You're criticizing Next.js for being tightly coupled with Vercel, yet the suggested solution seems to be adapters for AWS, Cloudflare, and Netlify.
I’ve heard of these services, but haven’t used them myself.
What specific problem is this project solving?
