I've just bought a premium plus sub but in vscode extension i can not send any premium request.

You have exceeded your premium request allowance. We have automatically switched you to GPT-4.1 which is included with your plan. [Enable additional paid premium requests] to continue using premium models.

3. Different Models: Different AI models consume different numbers of premium requests. For example:

   • GPT-4.1 (base): 0 premium requests for paid users
   • GPT-4.5: 50 premium requests per interaction
   • Claude Opus 4: 10 premium requests per interaction

4. Monitor Usage: You can monitor your premium request usage in GitHub Settings > Billing & Licensing > Usage by product > Copilot > View details

yes, i understand what you mean. But i just bought the premium plus sub. The problem is about the vscode bug. i've deleted all my copilot files, extensions. then close my IDE. it worked after 3-5 try.

This is definitely a bug and I am surprised they haven't fixed it. I just bought Pro+ sub and was welcome with this message for my first Claude Sonnet4 request. Absolutely devastating. I am losing a whole day working on my personal project.

I am experiencing the same issue as @samuel-antwi.
I just bought a Pro subscription. I used it once. Now, for every subsequent request, I get:
"You have exceeded your premium request allowance. We have automatically switched you to GPT-4.1 which is included with your plan. [Enable additional paid premium requests] to continue using premium models."
If this is a VS Code extension issue, this needs to be resolved immediately. I am now paying for a service I cannot use, as the GPT-4.1 model is insufficient for my requests.

Updating visual studio code made it work for me everyone. Before that I was facing the same issue.

I was already fully up to date. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling the extension. In the end, the problem fixed itself after about 3 hours. Don't ask me why. I just hope it doesn't come back.
