Clarify licenses in this repo

This repo contains code released under a mix of licenses:

It's not very transparent from the top level of this repo that this is true. Maybe the best step is to add a license section to the README to outline what licenses this repo contains?

I was writing up an article this week and wanted to reference the license of quarto, and also found the mismatch between the marketed license of Quarto as MIT and what they are legally quite confusing.

Glad to have found this issue, and certainly would appreciate this being more transparent!

Ah, Quarto itself is licensed MIT: https://github.com/quarto-dev/quarto-cli?tab=MIT-1-ov-file

This repo is for the VS Code extension and some components that get used in both VS Code, Positron, and RStudio.

Thanks @juliasilge for the clarification. I think I remember you discussing this at SciPy 2024 in your keynote as well!

It would be really helpful to clarify that on your license page here:
https://quarto.org/license.html

Especially as the site documents the vscode, positron, and rstudio extensions under quarto.org, and the footer on all of the pages says that they are licensed MIT, referencing the github org (which includes this repo), not the CLI package specifically.
